In man-semantics-symbols.en.tm, various invisible symbols supported by TeXmacs are mentionned, among which :
-An invisible separator, entered by , Tab Tab. Example: the matrix A=(a_(ij)).
So the "trick" is definitely in the doc. However, a user is not expected at any point to learn it is internally represented as "<nocomma>", and this explains why it is nowhere to be found it in the documentation. Indeed, a fundamental point of TeXmacs is that the user need not to learn (or "guess") dozens of specific keywords in order to nicely typeset math, contrary to (La)TeX.
I'm closing this, but if you really think the documentation can be improved on this point, you are welcome to suggest a concrete way to do so.
