Corresponding source code
The "no QT" binary (configured with --disable-qt --with-qt=no) aborts on start. The gdb shows it fails at ./src/Typeset/Boxes/Basic/boxes.cpp around line 641:
cursor::cursor (SI x, SI y, SI delta, SI y1, SI y2, double slope, bool valid):
rep (tm_new<cursor_rep> ())
I'm not a developer, but AFAICT, the execution point doesn't enter the function body.
