Only the second item is a genuine TeXmacs bug.
All other points are LaTeX "features":
  - There is a bug in the cref package when using French
  - The typesetting of figures depends on your LaTeX style.
    We might try to be a bit smarter, but this is not a priority.
  - We could create an option for how to export multiplications,
    but then again, things do compile, and the exported code
    does things the LaTeX way.
  - TeXmacs is not responsable for LaTeX' mishandling of
    fractions inside tables.  Do we wish to reproduce their
    behavior inside TeXmacs?
I fixed the only actual TeXmacs bug.

Here is a summary of the bugs that I encounter regularly when exporting to LaTeX (see attached documents for full details!)

  • <smart-ref|> yields LaTeX compile error
  • <separatingspace> yields LaTeX compile error
  • centering is lost in figures
  • space for multiplications is lost
  • fractions within tables are shrunk by LaTeX
