Fri 06 Dec 2019 07:12:42 PM UTC, comment #3: I did not try, but my impressions is that it is better to just upload the html (kindlegen, an amazon official app, supports converting html directly to kindle files. I guess that the amazon official service to which you are referring also supports this) Converting html into epub3 does not seem a good idea: if I understand correctly, it is somehow incompatible with kindle files - worse than older epub versions. |

I converted a TeXmacs document to HTML with formulas as images, then used pandoc to convert it to EPUB3. Then I uploaded it to Kindle.

The Html export filter has been significantly improved (revision 12999 and the upcoming version 1.99.14). In particular, you may select a CSS style in the Html conversion preferences. My personal website shows the dark colored theme.
