Hi,

I tried to rip with cd-paranoia 2.0.0 by indicating a low speed

cd-paranoia --force-read-speed 1

On my two systems, it is running at full speed.

I also tried : sudo mmc-tool --speed-X=1
I didn't see any effect. It is as noisy as 32x

Regards,

my drives are:

Vendor : TSSTcorp
Model : CDDVDW SH-224DB
Revision : SB01

Vendor : ASUS
Model : DRW-1608P2
Revision : 1.11
