autotar - Summary
This group is not part of the GNU Project.
autotar allows you to backup UNIX directories to any directory (called a repository). The purpose is to backup directories to external storage like USB hard-disks or USB sticks.
Each day has it's own directory, and each backup of the same directory gets a revision number on that day (if a directory is backuped multiple times per day).
Old backups are automatically removed (if desired) after a configureable number of days.
The repository and directories to backup can be configured in a file, along with some other options.
