I tried to compile this test using the online ISE compiler at https://www.eiffel.org/codeboard after some small compatibility changes ("insert" becomes "inherit {NONE}" and {} turns into {NONE}) getting a syntax error in very same place spotted by current Liberty parser.

Therefore I suggest to close this bug, not implementing the required changes; in fact
1) it would widen the differences and incompatibilities between ISE and Liberty
2) more importantly it is a semantic change that would allow subtle and difficoult to understand code
