Coreutils do not build with gcc 4.0.2 because of changes to the "restrict" keyword. The build must pass -std=iso9899:199x to the compiler. |

I don't observe this problem on my Debian GNU/Linux stable host,
in which I have installed GCC 4.0.2 myself. I am attaching the
build log; please compare it to yours, and see what's
different about your environment.
