From the context: "Proprietary software developers are often businesses." it seems to answer the question: "who develop proprietary software?" and the answer is "businesses" (companies). 生意人 doesn't convey this meaning. How about this: "开发专有软件的常常是企业。"

The review is done, only minor fixes. Sorry didn't finish it earlier, due to that "my real life is a piece of sh*t".

Oh btw fyi, a few months ago I contacted FSF and disclaimed the copyright on translation.
