How about times when the user asks for a plain-text table as the output format (for example '--output=profile.txt'). A plain-text file does not support multiple extensions. This table contain of azimuthal angle, radial profile and mean value, with these columns 2d polar-plot can be generate.	Sepideh Eskandarlou <sepideh>

Fri 18 Aug 2023 12:10:50 PM UTC, original submission: The radial profile script has all the components necessary to also generate a 2D polar plot. It is essentially a re-gridding of the pixels of the input in a new image such that the the horizontal axis shows the azimuthal angle and the vertical axis shows the radius. For example, see the attached image (shown in the comment above).	Mohammad Akhlaghi <makhlaghi>
