Moved to sysadmin@gnu.org:

I last tried to upload files last week, and still had no luck.  Same problem as before: ftp appears to be fine, but files never show up in the project downloads area.

In your email to me, you indicated that people are having problems with ncftp.  Unfortunately, I am not using ncftp, I am using netkit-ftp 0.17 as found in Debian unstable.

thanks for looking into this.

I will ask the sysadmins to check it.

Do you experience troubles?
It seems the system was not reliable in the beginning, and then improved.

File uploads for my project (OpenEXR) are not working consistently.  I am following the directions here:

https://savannah.nongnu.org/forum/forum.php?forum_id=2838

but I have only gotten my uploads to work on two occasions, out of about 20 attempts.

Unfortunately, the process is opaque, so I cannot tell what, if anything, I'm doing wrong.

On the two attempts that did work, I believe I followed the exact same procedure for the other failed attempts.  I have verified the file signatures on my end and they check out just fine.  I am sure I'm enabling binary mode for my transfers.

Something else that's odd is that on the 2nd of my two attempts that worked, all of the files but one eventually showed up in my download area.  The other file that I uploaded during the same FTP session never appeared.
