I am attempting to install on Windows XP Professional with PHP 5.0 and MySQL 4.1. IN the configuration it insists that "Database is not working" ... when I click to set up the database, it appears to work fine, but then goes back to the page saying that database isn't working, when it is indeed on the server!

Hi Steven,
Are you sure that you properly setup the php -> mysql system ? (test it with phpmyadmin for example).
Then be sure to get the latest phpgw version, since MySQL 4.1 and php5.0 is not fully supported in .16 version
Regards,
