Corresponding source code
Hi!
Recenctly I stared to implement support for the dgt electronic chess board into xboard. For this reason I started to develop dgtdrv, a so to say "input engine" which is based upon the platform independent dgtnix library (see dgtnix.sourceforge.net). The first patch that enables already playing simple games using the dgt board is now available via dgtdrv. Currently I use the engine-engine-tournament mode to connect two engines: one is my dgtdrv talking to the board and the other one the engine to play. Unfortunately this is not perfet a e.g. analysis is not psosible yet. I'd need another input stream I could hook in there and for this I'd require some help. Anyway you might want to check out dgtdrv from dgtdrv.sourceforge.net, especially the latest version from cvs. The current code requires only a few additional lines to the engine handler.
