I am generally opposed to just moding the existing setup/tables* scripts, unless it causes real breakages.

I ran an upgrade of an acceptance testing environment earlier today and it didn't seem to break.

If it needs to be done, then we have no choice but to do it, otherwise just add another upgrade to it.

Benoit it is your code, so it is your call.

Fields sounds ok.

I think that since no one else has complained about this issue - and it is a fearly new feature in HEAD - and it has'nt broken anything - it  should be sufficient to edit the definitions in phpgwapi/setup/tables_current.inc.php

Hi Sigurd

We can't really reduce that much ... an email adresse for example is more than 20 caracters ...

So reducing account_lid is ok to 25 since it's the phpgw_account.account_lid size ...

So I propose :

200 for location, 100 for ext_user and 25 for account_lid

If I understand your problem that's 200 3 + 100 *3 + 25 3 < 1000 so should be ok.

Should I AlterTable in the setup process for update ? (I guess yes) Or your were not able to update, so you need to modify the file ?
