This task is draining most of my current "development" time,
but it's very useful, because it's generating a lot of improvements
in both sourceinstall code and GNU packages build systems.

Testing is mostly complete.
Many minor bugs have been discovered and fixed in CVS,
and bugs in the GNU packages have been found too.

This is an extremely important task, that should result in a list of unsupported packages, with details on the problems encountered.

Packages should be processed with the latest CVS or with sourceinstall-0.4 as soon as it comes out.

This way two things can be achieved:

- for packages which do not work for a bug in sourceinstall, sourceinstall can be fixed.

- for packages which are not properly build, the developers will be contacted to ask for a better source package, possibly helping them where needed.

If someone wants to pick up the task, this is some important and concrete way to help the project: notify bug-sourceinstall if you want to take the job.

There is a need for lots of testing, to point out problems with existing packages.

This task involves going through configuration, installation, and successive removal of source packages, marking problems encountered on route.
