I'm thinking the 1st version should work like this:

- There will be an extra "M" link for each download in webgui.
this link will open a textarea popup, where metadata can be added in
free form.

this metadata will be propagated to commit script through env
variable.

2nd version will behave like this:

- there will be a list of keywords next to the textarea, that can be
copied to the main textarea, with js widgets

the keywords will be stored in an ini file.

3rd version will have commands to add/remove keywords

I contemplating implementing a categories/metadata facility for
downloads.

This is what im thinking:

- There should be a predefined list of keywords to choose from for
each download. A download might have more than one keyword

- there should be an api to add/remove keywords

- selected keywords are sent to a commit script through environment
  variables

I'm sure this is not what everyone wants, but these are my needs. I'm
soliciting comments, to meet more needs.
