Eh, one program using them is netkit-rsh, not netbase.

Various POSIX modes for input and output are not implemented by term.  Among them are OCRNL (carriage return to newline conversion), TABDLY (tab delay for mechanical devices) etc.
In fact, some of them are not even defined by the glibc headers (at time of writing this).  Many are easy to implement.  One program using them is netbase.
