Hello,

We don't provide backup services. We expect that Savannah is used as the primary hosting site.

Registration Details

  • Name: GCC for IA-16 (Intel 8086/186/286) fork
  • System Name: gcc-ia16-fork
  • Type: non-GNU software and documentation
  • License: GNU General Public License v2 or later

Description:

A fork of Lambertsen and Jenner (et al.)'s port of GCC to the IA-16 target (16-bit Intel 8086/80186/80286) --- see https://github.com/tkchia/gcc-ia16 . This fork adds a number of features, including far pointers, small memory model (64 KiB code + 64 KiB data) support, and preprocessor macros for IA-16 machine features.

Other Software Required:

For building gcc-ia16:

Fork of GNU binutils 2.28.51 --- GNU GPL/LGPL v2/v3 --- https://github.com/crtc-demos/binutils-ia16

GNU Multiprecision Library 6.1.2 --- GNU GPL v2/v3, GNU LGPL v3 --- https://gmplib.org/

GNU MPFR 3.1.5 --- GNU GPL/LGPL v3 --- http://www.mpfr.org/

GNU MPC 1.0.3 --- GNU LGPL v3 --- http://www.multiprecision.org/

isl 0.16.1 --- MIT license --- http://freecode.com/projects/isl

For testing gcc-ia16:

DejaGNU --- GNU GPL v3 --- https://www.gnu.org/software/dejagnu/

Fork of Andrew Jenner's 86sim --- public domain --- https://github.com/tkchia/reenigne

Other Comments:

I hope to set up this GNU Savannah project as a backup or mirror of my working repository at GitHub, at the least.

The tarball only includes the code for the GCC port proper. There are build scripts at https://github.com/tkchia/build-ia16 which download dependencies and builds additional stuff (newlib, PDCurses). I hope to also move these scripts to Savannah in the future if possible.
