Hi,

There are some issues pending from the project registration
process. Is the project in Savannah ready for review?

Thanks!

Hi Mario,
Thanks for your complete and kind reply :)
Totally agree than all code must be gpl, and will be "marked" with the right header, I will take care of this personally.

I have read carefully the links , and make some research and IcePDF and since April 2010 Processing runs OK with OpenJDK(IcedTea) wich are the main libraries I was thinking to use.

My develop environment is setup with OpenJdk so this is the first test it must pass :), if for whatever technical reason the project must move to Sun JDK, I will let you know and I will search for other code hoster, but  the aim of the project itself is to be free as possible and that's why I have choose Savanah as first host option.

The choose of the language is mainly due java offers out of the box features needed by the requirements, and of course due I have prior experience with the language :P

So the answer to you final questions, yes I would love to have access now, to be able to share from  the first line of code , there are some potential collaborators that can join the project if they have access to it, also having it hosted on such prestigious site like Savannah committed 100% with libre software is a warranty that any collaboration  will remain free.
Regarding if agree with the conditions, Yes, that requirements are one of the main reasons to choose Savannah :)

Again thanks :)

Hello David.

Usually we review the files meant to be hosted at GNU Savannah
(Contained in a tarball), even if the project is not functional, to
catch potential issues early:

For example, to release your program properly under the GNU GPL you
must include a copyright notice and permission-to-copy statements at
the beginning of every copyrightable file, usually any file more than
10 lines long.  This is explained in
http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-howto.html.  Our review would help
catch potential omissions such as these.

There are some possible issues specific to Java.  Your project must
run on a Free Software Java suite (see
https://savannah.gnu.org/maintenance/JavaIssues and
http://www.gnu.org/software/java/ for more information).

We recommend you to develop your project using IcedTea, or GCJ + GNU
Classpath, and ensure that your Java code runs on this Free Software
Java suite.

IceTea is based on Sun's OpenJDK and uses free replacements for its
proprietary parts. GCJ is the GNU Compiler for Java, part of the GCC
(GNU Compiler Collection).  The Classpath project aims to develop a
free and portable implementation of the Java API (the classes in the
'java' package).

More information is available at http://icedtea.classpath.org/,
http://gcc.gnu.org/ and http://www.gnu.org/software/classpath/.

If you need Savannah right now, please explain to us why; otherwise,
please resubmit the project when you have source code.

If we approve your project without source code, we will review the
code in the near future (or better, at your request).  If then the
source code does not meet our requirements [1] (for example, non-free
dependencies), we will then discuss the issue and possibly remove the
project from Savannah (If the maintainer refuses to comply).

Do you need the Savannah services now, and if yes do you agree with
the above conditions?.

Regards.
