I approved the project (it was still in "pending" state).

Hi Mario,

unfortunately, no, that is not the case. I cannot access <https://savannah.nongnu.org/projects/mini-httpd> either. It doesn't matter whether I use HTTP or HTTPS. Also, mini-httpd doesn't show up in my "groups" list, which is a pretty clear indication that Savannah doesn't believe that I'm supposed to access that project. I believe that something went wrong in the approval process.

Take care,
Peter

You are trying to fetch the page with HTTP, but it must be acessed
with HTTPS: https://savannah.nongnu.org/projects/mini-httpd :).

Hi Mario,

I have added the missing license disclaimer to Doxyfile and Jamroot as requested. Thank you for catching that.

However, I cannot upload the source code to Savannah. Apparently, the system believes that the project still hasn't been approved yet? It doesn't show up in my group list and attempts to access the summary page end with "permission denied".

Take care,
Peter

Oh, sorry for delay.  I got busy and after a couple of day this
project "lost" on my mail box.

>are there any further problems with this submission?

Yes, doxygen and jamroot must have the licensing information too,
ethier as a comment inside (If the format allow for comments) or as a
note in the README file.

I approve the project, but please fix this little problem before do
anything else :).

Hi Mario,

thank you very much for the review. I'll be traveling for a couple of days, but I'll make the required changes and upload a new tarball next week. Thanks!

The current header makes the program propietary ("All right reserved
[no one given to the user]").

We don't propierty software so please change it to the appropiate
header: http://www.gnu.org/licenses/gpl-3.0.html#howto and upload an
updated tarball.  Then I will approve the project.

Also, could you switch from GPL 2 to GPL 3 or later?.

Registration Administration

While this item will be useful to track the registration process, approving or discarding the registration must be done using the specific Group Administration page, accessible only to site administrators, effectively logged as site administrators (superuser):

Registration Details

  • Name: mini-httpd
  • System Name:  mini-httpd
  • Type: non-GNU software & documentation
  • License: GNU General Public License v2 or later

Description:

mini-httpd is a minimalist web server designed for optimal performance, high security, and as little use of system resources as possible. This means, of course, that mini-httpd has zero fancy features. All it can do is serve out static files from the hard disk. There is no support for CGI scripts or any kind of dynamic content. If you need a more sophisticated set-up, this software is not for you. If you really, really need additional features, well, you have the source code.

In brief, here is an overview of what mini-httpd can do:

  • HTTP/1.1 compliant "keep-connection" support,
  • Virtual hosting,
  • write Apache-style log-files,
  • run in a chroot(2) sandbox, and
  • drop all super-user privileges after acquiring the listening socket.

Furthermore, mini-httpd is configured entirely through the command line; there is no config file.

Other Software Required:

None.

Other Comments:

All files have a copyright statement, but not every file contains a reference to the actual license (GPL). I realize that this is unsatisfactory, and I'll fix it ASAP.
