According to L2/08-019, the Unicode proposal, “While it is true that on occasion serif fonts have been used even for Old Lisu letters, such usage is confined to specialised domains like decorations, headings, and book prefaces in monolingual or non-Latin bilingual contexts such as books published in China”. So, although it is less important, it would not be wrong to introduce these characters to FreeSerif.

Hi Hsing-yen,

A bit of unicode encoded text would help.  I haven't managed to find any.

Thanks!

Couldn't stop myself.  Just too easy.
In FreeSans and FreeSansBold.

Please check that I got all the letters right.

Hi Hisng-yen,

Pardon the delay-- for some reason this wasn't forwarded to my mail account.

I'm considering the request.  As you say, it shouldn't take long to implemenent.  However, I have said that the project is in a testing phase, and I'm trying to avoid introducing new ranges at this time. So for now, I'll mark it "postponed".

Thanks!

Hello Steve,

The Lisu language uses an artificial script know as Fraser alphabet, which developed from Latin capital letters, Unicode encoded in U+A4D0–U+A4FF. They are easy to make, and they can be derivatived directly from exsisted glyphs in Latin ranges.

Note these characters should ONLY introduced in FreeSans.
