It may not be; but I don't recall complaints from users of any other providers. again, just a personal opinion.

gmail is not the only provider caring about SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.

Just my personal opinion:

Gmail could be just a little bit less intelligent about spam. ten years ago it created no problems with registering Savannah.

Alternatively, the users could migrate to a better provider.

Mails to gmail go to spam folder by default.

gnu.org could try to help the issue by
1) signing messages with DKIM
2) publishing SPF record
3) publishing DMARC policy

From header field is used in checking the DKIM, now it has -email is unavailable- , maybe it could use some other domain like bugs.savannah.gnu.org because getting every @gnu.org address user into the DKIM bandwagon might be a challenge.

savannah.gnu.org does not have SPF records but gnu.org does. Should be easy to fix. -email is unavailable- is used in checking SPF.

DMARC is easy to add, for example this  should be OK with google:
TXT record for _dmarc.bugs.savannah.gnu.org containing "v=DMARC1; p=none; rua=mailto:dmarcreports@savannah.gnu.org"

Hello,

Apologies for the delayed response.

Is this still an issue?

Just to verify, please check again your account (preferably in 'All Mail' and Spam and also Trash) for a message originating from "INVALID.NOREPLY@gnu.org".

If it is not there, we can troubleshoot further.

regards,

The summary says it all: I am not receiving website registration activation email.

I registered on 2015-07-12, and did not recevive any activation email. Today, 15 days later, I was trying to follow-up on a bug report, tried a login, was not able to, requested password reset, was told my username did not exist, went back through my email and saw no activation email anywhere.

I tried to register an account again. And again I have not received an activation email. These activations should only take a few minutes, right? Please look into this, it is unlikely I am the only one that cannot register.
