As of a1acd8e66b7a4ca348401f890b4f04a6ca6b7d15 AC_CONFIG_HEADER is now an AU_ALIAS for AC_CONFIG_HEADERS.

It appears that AC_CONFIG_HEADER was never formally deprecated, even though it's not documented at all.  We will consider making that change for the upcoming 2.70 release.

Hi,

the autoconf manual of version 2.59 mentions AC_CONFIG_HEADERS
often but never AC_CONFIG_HEADER. Same for CVS version.

According to http://mail.python.org/pipermail/patches/2002-October/010056.html
I assume that AC_CONFIG_HEADER is obsolete, but why isn't it mentioned in chapter 15 Obsolete Contructs?

PS: Are you aware that the news on the project page contains
"Autoconf 2.57 is now available at". A reference to 2.59 does
not exist.
