OK, Sylvain. Thanks for the info.
I'll submit them later -- no need to rush.

There are several other people at Savannah who do not receive the confirmation e-mails, so I think it is from Savannah.

About the other accounts, it is currently not possible to remove them, but you could post here the account you want to delete, so I queue them.
Of course, these accounts will be verified ;)

Finally, I received the mail from savannah with the request for confirmation of password change. And I can login now! :-))

Thanks for your assistance, Sylvain.

(1) Now I need to know what is was.  Whether it was savannah's fault or it was my ISP's fault?  If it is not savannah's fault, then it's my ISP's, then I should be worrying about other maybe lost letters.  Could you tell me what it was?
Thanks.

(2) Other thing is to find out what is happened with my other registered names: I can not register them, because savannah thinks that this user is already here: "That username already exists."  On the other hand, when I try to search them through the search form, then savannah thinks that there is none: "None found."

But it is not really urgent.

I think the e-mail notification is working when you submit something, but not when it is changed.

I'll contact you again when things get fixed.

Little bit more on the e-mail notification (one more time):

I submitted a report about markup validation [support #102825], and in this case its e-mail notification worked perfectly.

> I will ask the Savannah hackers to check why some accounts do not receive e-mails.

-- Thank you.  I suppose this is some kind of filtering: the system works for some, and it does not work for others.

> I will also mention putting a warning in the home page, but they are busy and work on the system itself rather than its presentation for now :/

-- In my view, the warning IS the part of the system.  It is better to let the user know, that the people behind the system are aware of the problem.  And if the system responds differently of what is advertized -- it is not always the user's fault, it may be the system's.

In my opinion, this kind of warning has something to do with the respect of the potential users.

> The notification system definitely does not work. I asked the Savannah developpers to check - there was already a bug request about that.

-- Thank you.

> The 'pending registrations' is the number of registrations in queue for the whole system, you can see it in the homepage in the top-right corner.

-- A-ha... I see now.

> When you are mentionning the recovery of your other accounts, do you mean user accounts or project accounts?

-- I created some "dead" user accounts when I tried to figure out whether I am doing something wrong, or it is system's fault.

When I did not receive the confirmation e-mail for second or third of them, I filled this bug.

(I said "dead" accounts, because I can not register these names anymore, but I did not receive confirmation e-mail about account's creation either.

I hope, when the mail system will work again, I will receive these confirmation e-mails (to throw some of them out, and to keep others.)

The same is here -- I saw the page telling me that the mail has been sent, and that I should follow the instruction inside this e-mail. I have never received this mail.

Sure, I did not receive any notification about the changes of this "artifact" page, because at the time of first submit I was not logged in.  But I was talking about the notification that I should receive when I posted my comments as the user "bio" (I was logged in, and I asked to be included in CC list).  I presume it just doesn't work.  I added yet another account -- I'll keep you posted about my results.

(When I e-mail to user "bio" from savannah through web-interface -- "send him/her e-mail" -- it does work, I mean I receive what was sent).

I do not mind to wait until the system will be secure enough.  I just wanted to know whether I was doing something wrong, or it was system malfunction, or all old accounts are gone.

And another thing... I just thought that I would be very nice to put some kind of message on the first page to let the users know that it is possible that the system is not stable (if this is the case, of course).

About pending registration: to see this information, shouldn't I be logged in? (I asked, because I tried to register my project when I was logged as user "dig".  So, as they say: "pas de chance" :-))

I tried the 'lost password' link for user 'dig', and was told the confirmation was mailed - no 'invalid user' error. Maybe it works better now. If it still does not work, you may have to wait until the Savannah team has the time to manually change the account for you...

I do not have a clue on why you did not receive e-mails from Savannah. You did not receive e-mail notification for this page because you were not logged in at the time you submitted the bug. However, I did not receive the notification. I added another e-mail to test that feature. Could you please post another comment?

About your project: the Savannah team currently has a hard time building the new secure system, and does not accept or reject new accounts. Check the 'pending registrations' in the home page and see when it decreases...

UPDATE! * UPDATE! * UPDATE!

I tried to register one more time, and this time it was successful.  So, the questions are:

(1) why the e-mail from savannah can't get to -email is unavailable- (and to some other e-mail accounts)?

(2) what should I do to recover my other accounts on savannah?

Thanks for trying to help me, Sylvain!

Yes, sure:
http://savannah.gnu.org/users/dig/

As you see, the user still exists.

About my project: I submitted the description of my project at the end of 2003, but at that time savannah got hacked, and I was told that the approval will take some time. I am still waiting.  Sad, but true.

P.S. Shouldn't I receive the copy of what is entered here?  I asked because I receive nothing, and I can not even register new user -- I never receive the after-registration e-mail... (Yes, I tried several e-mail address.  All of them work with everything else: mail lists, e-mails etc).

Could you check if your user is still existing?
I would also like to know what the username is, and the projects you are member of.

Try with https://savannah.nongnu.org/users/yourusername/

And now, when I try to recover my "lost" password, I have this:

  Invalid user [#1];
  That user does not exist.

Could somebody, please, explain what (if) am I doing wrong?

Can not login with correct user name and password.
I tried to obtain the lost PW hash (//account/lostpw.php), but it didn't work (more than 1 hour after PW hash was sent, I still did not received it.
