Another idea...  Is it possible that spammer is subscribing before posting and then unsubscribing?  That would bypass the non-member filter.  There is another setting for blocking subscription.  But not sure that is the problem just brainstorming.

Another idea...  Perhaps put in a header_filter_rules to block it? Under the Spam filters sub-page. From:.*contato@professoraantonieta.com.br

Please use Discard rather than Reject due to the typical case being a forged from address.  Reject generates a bounce to the innocent victim getting Joe-jobbed and is a valid reason for a DNSBL listing.  Thanks.

Just ideas hopefully helpful but not really knowing.

I can imagine two possible answers, or maybe combined:

1) the envelope sender of the mail is 4815@regraemail.professoraantonieta.com.br, according to the headers. Maybe that is the address that counts. Mailman's handling of From: addresses vs. envelope addresses is, as far as I know, not documented and rather random.

2) Perhaps the explicit ^.* in hold_these_nonmembers overrides discard_these_nonmembers. There would be no harm in removing it since you have generic_nonmember_action=hold.

On the pspp-dev list (and some others) we regularly get spam from -email is unavailable-

We've placed this address in a sender filter to automatically discard.  But that seems not to be happening.  Can you explain why this is?
