I have to say that i gave up on savannah. I now use gitlab.com. It may be a good idea for savannah to switch to it.

(triaging old savannah tickets)

Hello Nikos,

I agree this is a good idea.

Sadly, we currently do not have the man-power to implement it (and evidently, didn't have it in the last 5 years since this ticket was opened).

I'm adding this idea to savannah's "todo/wishlist" page (#22):
  http://savannah.gnu.org/maintenance/SavannahHackingIdeas/

On the bright-side, we've just made hacking on savannah's PHP code much easier.
If you (or others) wish to help, please see:
  https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/savannah-hackers-public/2017-02/msg00085.html

As such, I'm closing this ticket for now.

regards,

Hello,
With News menu entry each project can have an atom feed which is very good. However submitting entries automatically is not possible, and submitting entries manual is cumbersome. One has to use Submit to submit an entry, and then go to Manage and approve the news he has submitted. If some kind of automatic submission is not possible, I'd suggest to remove the approving part for users that are already managers of the project.
