GNUjump - Summary
This software is part of the GNU Project.
GNUjump is a simple game where your goal is to keep jumping to upper falling platforms in order to avoid touching the lower part of the screen. Despite being written from scratch, it is inspired by Xjump and tries to emulate its game logic accurately, as well as adding new features that Xjump lacked:
- Multiplayer mode (up to four players, not networked)
- Smooth graphics possible (but xjump style as well)
- Different themes are available
- Can use OpenGL for rendering
- Replays
- Sounds

I got tired of waiting for our graphic artist to polish our new theme so I decided to make a new release before its done. It will hopefully be included in GNU Jump 1.1.
The new features include:
* New special fx, the players leave a trail behind and, in OpenGl mode, they also have some motion blur.

SDLjump has just entered the GNU project. Because of this, I have decided to change the project's name to GNUjump which is much more meaningful than SDLjump now.
Until everything is changed some things may be broken for a while. In a few weeks a new web page and a new release will be ready, but I am very busy and can not give an deadline.

SDLjump 1.0.0 has just been released, including new fancy features and increasing stability and usability. As soon as the webpage gets updated you will be able to check the changelog.
Note that a World Ranking is going to be added to the webpage now that the game supports replay saving... start training to get to the top!

For several reasons, I have decided to move the project page to Savannah.
Also, after a long time being stopped (I have been quite busy) the SDLjump development has been restarted. Most promised features for 0.92 will be ready in a few weeks and I'll make a new release which will be, If no problems are found, 1.0.0.
Oh, and there will be a world ranking on the net to exploit the replays system advantages. That would make the game even more adictive and competetive, wouldn't it?
