This software is part of the GNU Project.

The GNU Behistun Software Package provides tools for mapping internal geological and geophysical conditions. The technique uses the propagation of waves (e.g., sound; seismic; radio spectrum microwave frequencies in the UHF/VHF band) to image subsurface properties using  indirect methods of inference (also called inverse methods).

GNU Behistun refers to the Behistun Trilingual Inscription of Cuneiform writing (Old Persian, Elamite, and Babylonian) on a large rock relief 100m up a limestone cliff at Mount Behistun near the city of Kermanshah in Western Iran. Despite its relative inaccessibility, Henry Rawlinson was able to scale the cliff and copy the inscription in 1835, later deciphering one of the earliest systems of writing, cuneiform, after knowledge of reading it was lost by the second century.

Like the Behistun Multilingual Inscription, the GNU Behistun Software give users of tomographic techniques control over their computing, shares knowledge of indirect mathematical inference, and encourages users to be good members of their commmunity.

Greetings and Felicitations.

Gnu Behintun (gbehistun) was originally planned as a tool for geophysical analysis.  Major decisions about Gnu Behistun have been made since that time.  The first change was the development of the Gunga Din Software, that has today been incorporated into [...]

Development has now proceed at a good pace.  The initial focus has been the development of configuration tools for setting up a Gnu System, in the form of the Gungadin Software Tools.

That is:

1. Setup for bashrc
2. Definitions of fstab, Xmodmap, and dircolors
3. Various tools for emacs
4. Abbreviated User Guide for Gnu Systems
5. Abbreviated Development Guide for Elisp
