This is basically a drive-by code dump. What we want are packages that are going to be continually maintained by contributors who are active in the Octave community.

Fredy, if you are interested in maintaining this package within the Octave community, or if someone else is interested in adopting this code and maintaining it, then it may be turned into a useful part of Octave Forge.

If there is no interest in doing so, then this should just be closed as "wont do" (but of course will be archived and is searchable for the future).

Why was this "priority Immediate"?  I'm retagging as "norml".

I'm changing the privacy to public since there is nothing here that did not appear first on the mailing list by the author:

https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/octave-maintainers/2016-01/msg00195.html

Also, his code is an attachment of that email. It seems to be fairly compatible with the matlab toolbox (from the function signature) but I didn't saw any tests.

Why is this marked as private? Also, you will need to place the source online under a free license if you wish to have it as Octave Forge package.

It is a pleasure for me to contact you.
I am a student of Electronic Engineering of the Universidad Del Quindío in Colombia.
The fact is that I have been developing a "wavelet toolbox" for OCTAVE. And I would like to integrate this toolbox to OCTAVE. Of course, with your consent.
My toolbox: works so good (you could prove it), is compatible with Matlab and has a very good efficiency.
Any question, you could contact me, by email, or you can call me in Colombia to the number 3122121513; but my english is not so good.

cordially

Fredy Alexander Hoyos Ariza
