Malayalam translation team resurrected

Item posted by Yavor Doganov <yavor> on Fri 10 Oct 2008 04:51:57 PM UTC.

After 4 years of inactivity, the Malayalam gnu.org translation team has been revived, with Shyam Karanattu taking the leadership.

The Malayalam language is from the Dravidian family, and is famous with its beautiful script.  It is spoken by about 38 million people, mostly in the Indian state of Kerala.

There are already 10 articles online, which makes Malayalam the second best supported Indian language (after Tamil), and the third one to have gnu.org translations (along with Bengali and Tamil).
