A new version of Archimedes has been released. This version, 0.1.2, is able to simulate a new semiconductor material known as AlSb (Aluminium antimonide).
This version has been tested successfully and is ready to be used. Furthermore, some bugs have been fixed and the manual has been updated according to this new version.
Happy hacking!

Hello everybody,
a new version of Archimedes has been released. This version (0.1.1) is able to simulate a new material known as InSb (Indium Antimonide), which is quite important for semiconductor companies and research. Furthermore, some bugs have been fixed and the manual has been updated according to this new version.
Happy hacking!

I am glad to let you know that a new version of Archimedes has been
released again. This version (0.1.0) is a bug fix of the precedent one and is, now, able to correctly deal with III-V semiconductor
heterostructures devices. Furthermore, the manual has been updated
according to this new version.
Happy hacking!

I have the great pleasure to let you know that a new version of
Archimedes has been released. This version (0.0.9) is able to deal
with heterostructure, i.e. two (or more) different semiconductor
materials can be now simulated in the same device. Furthermore, the
manual has been updated.
Archimedes is released under GPL 3 license.
Happy hacking!

Dear All,
I am very pleased to announce that the new version 0.0.7 of GNU Archimedes has
been released, with some bug fixes from the previous release.
Furthermore, it is now possible to simulate the GERMANIUM material.
Hasta Luego! :-)

The latest versions of Archimedes are available.
The version 0.0.6 is a bugfix of the 0.0.5 that include improvment in the SiO2 simulation routine.
Best regards and enjoy the good work.

Hello,
I'm pleased to announce the release of GNU/Archimedes 0.0.4 :
In the present release, GNU Archimedes is able to simulate electrons and heavy holes in Silicon and GaAs (Gamma and L-valleys) devices (holes are simulated by means of a simplified MEP model).

At the present release GNU/Archimedes is now able to simulate electron-dynamics
in GaAs sub-micron devices, which is a material relevant in microelectronics
industry.
You can, also, find on-line some examples related to Silicon devices.
