A completely revamped contacts backend. It is now possible to store just about any type of information regarding a contact. There is a seperation of organisation and person contacts, with the ability to link the two, or even linking organisations to each other. This will also be foundation of the new messaging api planned for the next major release, later this year. We have also improved the linking of data in the contacts store and other applications.

allow users to comment on them
javassh - log into your remote computer and get shell access from within phpgroupware
email - now includes a search tool and some new icon sets
Most applications have additional features added, too many to list here.
NOTE: This is a release candidate and not a final release and should not be used in a production environment. Due to the large quantity of new code, we are expecting bug reports. We plan to deal with all bug reports immediately. New users should use the 0.9.14 version also available from the phpgroupware.org web site. Don't forget to backup your data before you upgrade. Also the version will be displayed as 0.9.14.5xx until the final version is released.

All 0.9.14 users please upgrade to 0.9.14.006 - someone forgot to post the news earlier.
This release fixes some PHP3 compatibility issues, which were introduced in 0.9.14.004. Please note not all apps work well with PHP3.
There is one calendar bug fixed in this release: moving entries to an other user, when deleting an account.
Please download from http://phpgroupware.org/downloads
All users should install this version. There have been several vulnerabilities discovered in previous versions of phpGroupWare. One is a Cross Site Scripting exploit - see the report. The other unreported issue relates the Virtual File System being in the document root - as of this release the vfs root must be out of the webroot.
Due to these security issues no previous versions of phpGroupWare will be officially supported by the phpGroupWare crew.
There are some general bug fixes also included in this release.
