IceCat 31.7.0 release

Item posted by Ruben Rodriguez <rubenquidam> on Fri 05 Jun 2015 05:20:13 PM UTC.

GNUzilla is the GNU version of the Mozilla suite, and GNU IceCat is the GNU version of the Firefox browser. Its main advantage is an ethical one: it is entirely free software. While the Firefox source code from the Mozilla project is free software, they distribute and recommend non-free software as plug-ins and addons. Also their trademark license restricts distribution in several ways incompatible with freedom 0.

Changes since v31.6.0

Other than applying the upstream fixes listed here https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/security/known-vulnerabilities/firefox-esr/ the changes for this version were to fix the build process to make the translation packages work properly.

---

On a personal note, I have to apologize for the delay on this release which comes from the fact that I spent most of the last couple of months preparing to move to the United States -which happened last week- and get married -which will happen in 3 hours!
