Wed 12 May 2021 02:33:13 PM UTC, comment #1: On Sakura (on NomadBSD) both Ctrl+- and Ctrl+_ reduce the font size of the terminal (and both Ctrl+= and Ctrl++ increase it). So showing ^_ there is really unhelful. Showing ^/ would be better. Plus: on a FreeBSD console, ^/ still does a Goto-Line and does not become ^? (backspace). So... let's bite the bullet? |

Tue 10 Dec 2019 06:48:14 PM UTC, original submission:
In its two help lines, nano shows: "^_ Go To Line". But on most terminal emulators, typing Ctrl+- (the underscore key without Shift) reduces the font size of the terminal. This is somewhat unexpected, because all other Ctrl keystrokes can be typed without holding Shift.
