The offending commit is 72a49dbb: "browser, help: make <Bsp> page up also when terminfo mismatches terminal".

To reproduce, put this in your .nanorc (and only this, to avoid other binds from interfering):

  bind ^H exit help

Then run nano, type ^G (the help viewer opens), then type ^H...  Nothing happens, the help viewer does not close, even though on the bottom row it says: "^H Close".

Bug exists since version 4.0.  In 3.2 and before the "bind ^H exit help" worked fine.
