To reproduce, run:

  src/nano --speller="aspell -l en -x -c" +128,45 NEWS

Then type: <Shift+Ctrl+Up> ^T 1 1 1
See that the highlighting of the region has disappeared.

When using the same command and typing: M-A <Ctrl+Up> ^T 1 1 1, then the highligted region is retained.  When using the integrated spell checker, also a shift-selected region is retained.

Expected behavior: also the external spell checker should retain a shift-selected highlighted region.
