No, unfortunately this depends on whether the keyword-files which are required by qscintilla are already existing or not. That's why it did not show up before.

This is a regression of a cset that fixed one cause for crashing the gui in case of too many open files. A patch is already in work.

Strange, "endif" shows up in the completion list for me along with a dozen other keywords like "endclassdef", "endmethods", "end_try_catch", etc.

Is this dependent on the linked version of QScintilla? I have 2.10.4.

Confirmed with current stable branch on Debian/Gnome. I'll take a look at it.

Auto completion  with octave functions is turned on in preferences. Example: I have a code with functions and for loops. When I type "end" and press Ctrl+Space only the "endfunction" and "endfor" appears on the screen. But e.g. "endif" also should be there.

This works for me. Can you check your completion preferences? Can you give a specific example of the file name you are editing, the contents, what you typed, what you expected, and what happened?

Pressing CTRL+SPACE doesn't complete octave functions. Auto completion is working for word previously typed in the actual file.
