I use the "old" Apache module on OpenBSD, and only tested the apache2 module some time ago, and it worked for me. But I hope David has more ideas about it.

However, do you can run apache in single process mode in gdb?

At least on Apache 1.3 I have the -X parameter, which prevents apache to spawn childs. With the module compiled with debug symbols, there might be more interesting stuff to see I guess.

In the worst case, you may rebuild your apache with debug symbols, or you may be able to install some rpm or deb which contains debug symbols.

No request outside the /wo/ hierarchy dumps core, all requests within it do. I haven't attached the core file as it's >100 MB. I don't really know how to diagnose this, suggestions welcome :)
