See the attached patch for a solution. The problem was that we incorrectly interpreted a key sequence as an application shortcut while building the dropdown menu under the button.

Incidentally, this fixes Emacs shortcuts under MacOS.

The two bugs are indeed related. I post this message to put this problem on the top of the pile since it still occurs for me.

... Which is reaaally weird... Keypresses are simply eaten by the QTMWidget after triggering the action associated to those menu items.

This is a Linux-only bug.

I confirm it on QT version.

Note:

  • It doesn't happen when the arrow is entered via the '->' shortcut.
  • There is no log message on output (even if all debug flags are sets), when the key '-' is pressed in this situation.

Hello,

If found a somehow annoying bug that is however very easy to reproduce. When I'm in mathmode (after typing $) I found that if I choose a arrow fromthe math toolbar (the button marked with ->) it becomes impossible to type in a '-' (or '=') in math mode. The only way I found to resolve this is to stop texmacs and restart it.
To reproduce, start texmax, press $ to go to mathmode, and then press the button to choose a arrow (button marked with '->' on the toolbar) (you do not even have to choose a arrow, just pressing the button is enough). Try now to enter in mathmode a '-' or '=' it is impossible.
I have tried the latest SVN and compiled it under Open Suse 12.2 (using the QT port) and has still the same bug.
Another problem I have is that it is impossible to do copy and paste between two running texmacs programs (I remember that this worked in older versions of texmacs).

Thanks for all help (and also for a great program)
