Sometimes, the texmacs.org website timeouts. Then, any attempt to open a web file from this server using TeXmacs will make the application hang for a very long time.

I noticed that this bug also occurs when you try to open
local files via the HOME button in Load... and Save as...
dialogs. But it should be possible to access $HOME without a running network!
My fault was to unplug the ethernet cable without resetting the default network route!!!
