This is a portability problem with how ash interprets expansion. I've added it to the todo list.

This is very strange. I think it's a readline problem.

Sorry. My browser messed up.

It was supposed to have another space and a suggestion to remind users that /bin/sh must point to bash or they will have to type bash ./configure instead.

(I'm so used to my remember-me cookie on sourceforge that I forgot I had to create an account for savannah.)

When a ./configure is attempted for Rot[t]Log 0.63 or 0.70beta1 on OpenBSD 3.5 (fresh install + bash 2.05b using pkg_add), it will fail with

configure: Escaping variables due to sed weakness...
./configure[2465]: : bad substitution
