This is over a month now. I guess it is the sound at shutdown that make it slow. Closing this item.

Maybe the startup and shutdown sound should be set default off?

Can you try to turn off the sounds effects before quiting?
Settings->Options-Sound.

Then uncheck the "Enable sound effects" checkbox.

Does this speed up the quiting process?
