This has been corrected in CVS.

To grab a complete update of all fixes:

1) Check to see if you have cvs installed: 'cvs --help'.
1a) If not, install a copy of cvs-cli from your favorite
distro.

2) Then just type:
'cd <your phpgroupware dir>; cvs update -dP'.

You can do step 2 as many times in a day as you wish, and
will always get the most current bug fixes.

Thanks,

Note: This is using the csv_import functionality. And that the 'access' field in phpgw_contacts for these imported contacts are empty, and do not contain 'public' as selected on the import field mapping screen.

Noticed that if you view phpgw_contact table, the contacts that were imported have the field 'access' blank, and not 'public' like selected upon import.

1. I am logged in as the admin account, I have ACL rights on addressbook to give everyone (Groups and Users) read/write access to addressbook.

2. Import a bunch of contacts, making sure public is selected, and owner is admin.

3. Logout.

4. Log back in as another user that should see admin's contacts, and they cant.

5. Logout

6. Log back in as admin, go into addressbook, edit a contact, save that contact.

7. Logout

8. Log back in as the previous user, and can now see that contact.

But adding a contact the regular way works as it should regarding set ACL permissions
