We've moved to GRUB 2 as a development platform. Unfortunately, GRUB 2 doesn't have network support yet, although there's ongoing work to implement it. If you want to help on that, please contact <grub-devel@gnu.org>.

In the meantime, this bug doesn't apply. I'm closing it.

I can do nothing with cardbus cards, for I do not even get any of such card at all ;-).
In fact I know nothing about PCMICIA or cardbus protocol, can any one help to port these support from etherboot to grub?

Yes it does work. Thank you !
My card is from Airlink 10/100/1000 and costs about 40$.
Afaik the same chip is used by the new Netgear cards GA602T.
I could't get more than one patch working at the same time, like: ISO "http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?func=detailitem&item_id=7767"
or grub4dos from wengier: "http://newdos.yginfo.net/grubdos.htm"
Any plan for cardbus and/or pcmcia adapters ?
Thanks again, Gilles

Does the patch work? :-)
I transport it from Etherboot, but not test it for I don't have such a card :(

Could you please add the Network driver r8169.c for the Realtek 8169 chipset into the grub network boot. It is aleady part of Etherboot package. Thank you.
