If you attempt to modify an ldap user (eg make them an administrator) and the modification fails, the user is deleted.

I agree ldap support is dangerous at the moment.

I don't recommend that .14 ldap users upgrade to .16 yet.

I've stored my account in LDAP, and i've found two problem:

1) shell information are not updated: if i set this, in ldap data nothing are wrote; if i set the shell in ldap, account manager show correctly the field but if i modify it, modification are not stored.

2) i understood that for internal reason phpgw store uidNumber=gidNumber in ldap data, but this could not the case: if i put gidNumber the value i want with another ldap client, why phpgw reset to uidNumber the next time i modify something and save?!

Generally, the ldap account handling have to impose much less restriction, i think that .16 is now unusable in a local LAN if a LDAP database (eg, samba server with ldap backend) exist.
