Closing due to no response from OP for a long time and not enough info to build a test case

pop3 or imap? using php_imap module? Can you be more specific about the headers?

I have seen stuff like this happen with dong things like reporting a form of a delete email action. If this is the case, well don't do that!

I have tried and I can't make it delete an email other than what was asked. It uses the unique IMAP ID to delete and not the message index number. I have not tested pop3.

The email client sometimes the message header doesn't match the message body. Also when deleting emails, sometimes the wrong message gets deleted.
