Revisit when you have time .. just consider this a reminder system

However, the reason for adding the hook was to allow other apps to override a user trying to delete a contact so that those apps could use the addressbook for contact storage.

If the api provides a way to delete a contact that doesn't call the hook, then the main reason for having such a hook is not met

The hook call HAS to be called by the delete contact function in the contact class of the api .. there is no discussion needed

currently the hook call to see if another app is linking to a contact is done in uiaddressbook.

It should be moved to the lowest level which is in the contacts class so that it is not bypassed by developers to allow contacts to be deleted that shouldn't be
