The version mentioned in the bug report is no longer supported.
It is strongly suggested that the user upgrade to the current
release version for better security and performance.

seems ok now, at least I managed to migrate most of the data to 0.9.16, it is ok for me, if the bug is closed

Can you please give us some information on the versions of the software on the box?

I just did another cvs update. Same behaviour. No migration of preferences, not possible to save new preferences. When I go to calender settings, I get Fatal error: Unsupported operand types in /home/www/cal_test/preferences/preferences.php on line 241

and I cannot add entries to the calender, because there are no times in the view where I normally add entries.

The migration scheme for the database does not work for MySQL. For which database backend was it tested? Or was only creation of new databases tested?

Can you please run a cvs update and try again. CVS changes daily at the moment

I am running phpGW with MySQL. I tested the 0.9.16 with a cvs version last week, and was able to reporduce twice the problem: after setup upgraded the 0.9.14 release database (no error reported), there are at least two terrible problems:
1) all user preferences are lost (table empty), and changes in the the preferences are not remembered from now.
2) it is not possible to make entries in the calender. I receive an error message: Fatal error: Unsupported operand types in

> >>/home/www/cal_test/calendar/inc/class.bocalendar.inc.php on line *1079

I don't know, what else doesn't work, as these two problems alone make phpGW quite useless.

NB: None of these problems occur if I run the same code against a newly created database (start setup with a completely empty database).
