Thank you for your support, I have followed your suggestion, changed basic.hpp and recompiled TeXmacs and the rendering is correct now. I have installed this version as my default now so that I can see if there are any problems with the change but so far everything seems to work fine. Thanks also for TeXmacs it is a great tool for doing mathematics.

This due to the fact that graphical coordinates are currently using 32 bit integer: a 24 bit integer part and an 8 bit fractional part.  This is not enough for very large documents.

I am experimenting with a new version of TeXmacs that uses 64 bit instead of 32 bit integers and your document displays correctly with it.  However, the modification of such a basic data type can introduce lots of other potential bugs, so I will keep testing it a bit more before integrating this into the official version.

You can test it yourself by changing #define SI_32 into #define SI_64 in basic.hpp and then recompiling (if you are familiar with that).

As my document grows I see now that the master file (fullbook.tm) shows the first page of the book overlayed on one of the last pages of the book (see the attached screenshot2.jpg.

If have uploaded the project files that illustrates the problem to google drive. The URL is

https://drive.goo ... -G59x?usp=sharing

To replicate the problem. Open the file FullBook.pdf file with a pdf reader and scroll to the
end, this show what the end of the document should be. Use then TeXmacs
to open FullBook.tm and scroll to the end of the document, if you
compare this with the pdf file you will notice that the last pages are
missing. You can also play around with the pages sizes (A4,A5,B4 or
Legal) and the rendering mode Papyrus, Paper to illutrate the bug. Note
that because the size of the document opening FullBook.tm can take a
while.

Thank you for your help.

It is true that the master file is not rendered completely similar to
bug 66722, however I do not get the warning  "The cached device pixel
ratio value was stale on window update." and I'm using Xorg XWindows
not Wayland. The version of qt reported by 'qmake -version' is 5.15.3.

The problem occured when the nr of pages displayed became to big. In
the beginning only when I use Paper mode, but the bug appears now also
in papyrus mode after the size of the document has incresed.

Notice that if I choose B5 or A5 for the page size only the title page
is displayed and the vertical scrollbar disappears and no scrolling is
possible. For page size A4 the latest pages are not rendered and
displayed as empty pages, scrolling is still prossible. If I use pages
size Legal then the rendering is done correctly. So I think the problem
is somehow related to the number of pages that must be rendered.

If needed I can send you the *.tm files or other info that you require

Best regards

Have you seen https://savannah. ... u.org/bugs/?66722 ? Do you think it could be related?
Can you tell us the Qt version of your build, the desktop environment and display server you are using?

My document has grown to 1459 pages and now rendering in Papyrus mode of the master file has the same problem. Exporting as pdf is still ok

I have a big book (1445 pages) consisting of a master file with 14 included files where the rendering in Page mode is incorrect for the master document. The first 1258 pages are rendered correctly however after that we see only greyish pages [see attached screenshot]. When I use the papyrus rendering mode for the master file all pages are rendered correctly and exporting the master document as a pdf file produces all the pages. Also when my document was smaller there where no problems, so I assumes that there is somewhere a overflow error. I use TeXmacs-2.1.4 compiled from sources on Ubuntu 22.04, I have also downloaded the latest sources from TeXmacs and compiled this version but the problem persisted. If needed I can provide the document files.

Thanks a lot in advance
