I am a user like you.  This is a bug reporting area, not for how-to.  A report/question like this is going to be ignored or closed.  You should move to the community help site. 

I would have done it this way, see below.  You get x in term of y. Looking at the solution form, there is very limited integer solutions.  [0 1], [1 0] are obvious. 

pkg load symbolic
x=sym('x'); y=sym('y');
f=x*x + x*y + y*y - 1
solve(f)
